Convene periodic international workshops to identify advances in understanding immune responses to influenza infection and vaccination that can be applied to improving seasonal vaccines and to developing durable, broadly protective or universal vaccines; disseminate a summary report of key findings from each workshop.

Progress Highlights

Tscherne 2026 summarized discussions and conclusions from the 4th ISRV “Correlates of Protection for Next Generation Influenza Vaccines” meeting in Vienna, Austria, in October 2025, noting potential applications to research, clinical development and regulatory decision-making. Krammer 2024 summarized outcomes of the 2023 ISIRV meeting on influenza correlates of protection and Krammer 2020 summarized outcomes of the 2019 meeting.
