Transmission modeling

In progress

Conduct at least one modeling study to predict influenza virus transmission across geographic regions and within species (e.g., humans, wild birds, domestic animals, agricultural animals).

Progress Highlights

Gass 2023 quantified the migratory connectivity of Iceland within the global context and the transmission dynamics that govern the spread of IAVs within Iceland and between adjacent geographic regions, using Bayesian phylogeographic and phylodynamic inference.

Dai 2022 simulated the infectivity of the main infection subtypes of influenza in China to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of different influenza subtypes.
